Statement of Faith

Church
We believe that the church is a local visible body of born again baptized believers. The assembling of ourselves together is for fellowship, worship and the propagation of the Gospel. The church has two ordinances, the Lord’s Supper and Baptism. We believe in a closed communion of the Lord’s Supper. The elements of the Lord’s Supper are unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine which is grape juice. We believe that baptism is by full immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

Creation & Fall of Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God and that through the fall of Adam all men became sinners. Therefore they are dead in trespasses and sins, totally depraved and apart from salvation in Christ, they will be eternally lost.

Creation
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth in six days and rested on the seventh according to the scriptures. We believe that evolution is a myth and holds no truth in the Bible or science.

Eternal State Of Man
We believe that the soul of man will live forever in one of two places, heaven or hell. Those who are saved and regenerated by the power of God shall spend eternity in heaven with God. All rejectors shall have their part in the lake of fire that shall burn forever and ever.

The Godhead
We believe that the Godhead is made up of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. All are equal in attributes and power.

Great Commission
We believe that the Gospel should be preached to every creature according to Matthew 28. Whosoever hears and believes can be saved. The Great commission is also the establishment of indigenous Baptist churches that shall be accomplished through the work of sending forth missionaries into all the world.

Lord’s Day
We believe that Sunday has been set aside by the Lord as a day that the saints should come together in church. All saved people should be scripturally baptized into the church, should be faithful in attendance, and their tithe. The church is to be funded by the tithes and offerings of the people.

Resurrection
We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ. According to the scriptures he died and was buried and on the third day arose. He ascended back to the right hand of the Father and is there to make intercession for the saints.

Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith. It includes repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. It is not of works or deeds of the law or by baptism.

Satan
We believe that Satan is a real personality. He is the adversary of Christ and all Christians. He is the accuser of the brethren, the deceiver of mankind and shall someday be cast into the lake of fire.

Scriptures
We believe that the Scriptures are the inerrant, infallible, perfectly preserved, inspired Word of God as contained in the King James 1611 bible. It is the only source of authority for the church. It is to be hid in the heart that we may not sin against God.

Second Coming
We believe in the pre-millennial return of Christ to this earth. His coming shall be in the clouds followed by seven years of tribulation during which the anti-Christ shall reign. At the end of seven years Christ shall return in power and glory to establish his throne in Jerusalem to rule the world for 1000 years. This will be a time of peace and tranquility for those who live upon the earth.

Separation & Sanctification
We believe that every believer is positionally sanctified or set apart at salvation. According to John 17:17, we are progressively sanctified by truth which is the Word of God. All believers should conduct themselves as becometh the saints of God, depart form the world and live a holy life. This includes proper dress for both men and women, their nakedness covered, their language being clean, their being honest in paying their bills, loving the brotherhood and praying for sinners.
